A child evacuee of the Mount Agung disaster prays before attending an emergency school at the Swacepura Sports Hall evacuation center in Klungkung, Bali, Tuesday (3/10). Children are catching up with the lessons they missed during their evacuation at the emergency school, which was organized by the local education agency and volunteers.

DENPASAR, KOMPAS – The Bali government and tourism industry players are trying to convince travelers that it is still safe to visit Bali. However, entry to the eruption-prone zone around Mt. Agung was still prohibited on Tuesday (3/10/2017) evening as the mountain still held its alert status.

β€œBali is still safe for travelers. We have prepared the necessary steps to face the threat of the Mt. Agung eruption,” Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika said in Bali on Tuesday.
