President Ready to Take Stance

JAKARTA, KOMPAS – Once the House of Representatives’ inquiry process against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) enters the executive domain, President Joko Widodo will use his authority to reject the efforts by the House to impede and disband the KPK. At the moment, the President is not yet able to use his authority because the inquiry process is still within the legislative realm.
President Joko Widodo, according to presidential spokesperson Johan Budi, cannot intervene into any process at the House of Representatives.
