What’s Behind Mike Pence’s Visit

United States Vice President Mike Pence and President Joko Widodo have a tête-à-tête at the back verandah of Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (20/4).

United States Vice President Mike Pence has visited Indonesia as part of a 10-days tour to four Asia Pacific countries. The visit drew attention to US foreign policy under President Donald Trump.

However, as far as I know, nobody is sure about the direction of US trade and foreign policy over the next four years. Pence’s visit was still in line with Trump’s statements made during the campaign.
