Establishment of Independent Team Proposed

JAKARTA, KOMPAS — In addition to a special team established by the National Police, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has also been asked to form an independent investigation team to uncover the perpetrators and masterminds of the attack against a senior investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Novel Baswedan, especially because this was not the first attack ever inflicted on KPK investigators.

The police are seen to be unable to work alone to uncover the case of the violent attack on Novel and a number of others against investigators and employees of the KPK.
