Jokowi the Game Changer

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and his entourage visit the construction of the Batang-Semarang toll road at Tegalsari village, Kandeman district, Batang regency, Central Java, on Jan. 9. The Batang-Semarang toll road spanning 74.2 kilometers is expected to be completed by midyear. The project is part of the plan to build the Trans-Java toll road program.

Within 2.5 years of the government of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, tens of thousands of kilometers of state highways and toll roads have been and are being built.

Within the next two years, several airports, seaports and railways in regions outside Java will open. Border posts have been refurbished, tens of power stations with a capacity from tens to hundreds of megawatts have been and are being built evenly in all regions of the country. The price of fuel in Papua has been synchronized with other regions.
