Deradicalization

Terrorism is not something that is present in a vacuum. It exists and develops in the community, which Said Aqil Siroj describes in his article, "The Deradicalization Myth".

Said Aqil, both as an ulema and in his capacity as general chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama, gave input to improve efforts for preventing terrorism carried out by the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT).

In observing emergency terrorism, there is a long process that leads to the birth and growth of radicalism and terrorism. Radicalism does not arise suddenly. The dynamics of radicalism are multifaceted.
